Zhang Yuqiang was born in 1998 in Dalian, Liaoning Province. At the age of 8, driven by a deep passion for art, he joined Dalian Meao Visual Engineering Project and began his journey in oil painting. During this time, he eagerly absorbed painting techniques and gained a fundamental yet profound understanding of color and composition.

In 2008, his oil painting Campus Landscape helped him won a silver medal in the 4th China Youth Fine Arts and Calligraphy Competition.

At 14, he went abroad and spent six years honing his skills at an oil painting studio in Canada. With himself immersed in a diverse artistic environment, his technique matured, and a unique artistic style was gradually developed. He later advanced academically, earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree from Boston University.

Since 2023, Zhang Yuqiang has made a remarkable impact in the international art scene, with seven of his works in international art competitions. One of his pieces won a silver medal, four earned bronze medals, and two received awards for excellence.
